DLR – Artificial Heart

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) developed a left ventricular assist device [LVAD] based on the center’s experience with lightweight robotics. This ventricular assist system was designed to reduce the mortality of patients waiting for a donated heart.
The CAT PRODUCTION Company visualized the LVAD’s mode of action as well as the anatomy, functions and prevalent diseases of the human heart.
An advanced version of this movie runs in schools and training centers.
